Neck & Headache Pain
Revive Spine & Sport – Physical Therapy That Puts You First
Neck pain and headaches can make it difficult to work, sleep, drive, or even relax. Whether you’re dealing with stiffness after a long day at your desk, sharp pain when turning your head, or recurring headaches that seem to start in your neck, the underlying cause often involves muscle tension, joint dysfunction, or nerve irritation. At Revive Spine & Sport in New Braunfels, TX, we focus on finding the root of the problem so you can experience long-lasting relief—without relying on medication for daily comfort.

What Causes Neck Pain & Headaches?
Neck pain and related headaches often share common sources, such as:
- Poor posture (forward head position, rounded shoulders)
- Muscle strain from repetitive movements or prolonged sitting
- Joint dysfunction in the cervical spine
- Nerve compression (pinched nerve)
- Whiplash or other neck trauma
- Stress-related muscle tension
- Degenerative changes (arthritis, disc issues)
- Referred pain from the upper back or jaw (TMJ)
Our 3-Step Neck Pain & Headache Treatment Process
Step 1: Pain Management
Our first priority is identifying the exact source of your pelvic pain using Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) and movement-based testing. Once we know what’s driving your symptoms, we use targeted exercises, manual therapy, activity modification, and posture correction to reduce irritation and improve function.
Step 2: Return to Function
Once we have determined the drivers we begin focusing on strength training and mobility. By waiting until step 2 for this process we can be confident with progressively building your routine up until you achieve your goals set during phase 1.
Step 3: Prevention of Recurrence
Our goal is long-term results, not quick fixes. Upon achieving your goals we want to begin increasing your independence by reducing appointment frequency. From here some will graduate while others may choose to stay on a maintenance plan. This allows regularly scheduled wellness visits to assess progress and address any concerns.
The Revive Difference
At Revive, we put our patients first and prevent outside influences from dictating treatment. To ensure we can do this, we are out of network with all insurance companies. As healthcare has gone down the drain, there are two major contributors:
- Declining health insurance reimbursement rates that require providers to see at least one patient every 30 minutes. Overlapping patient sessions cut into your treatment time.
- Health insurance companies dictating the treatments approved.
Our approach ensures optimal outcomes, less time wasted, and a family atmosphere here in New Braunfels. We specialize in helping patients who have already tried conservative care without success, using MDT to guide every treatment decision.
