About Us

At Revive we have decided that putting our patients first should be above profit. To ensure we can do this we are out of network with all insurance companies. As healthcare has gone down the drain there are 2 major contributors; health insurance reimbursement rates requiring providers to see at least 1 patient every 30 minutes, often doubling up your session with other patients. Our approach ensures optimal outcomes, less time wasted, and a family atmosphere at Revive Spine and Sport. We specialize in those who have already failed conservative care and heavily rely on Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy to guide our treatment principles.

The Team

Spencer Noble

Owner, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Spencer Noble, Doctor of Physical Therapy, certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) and Dry Needling. He founded Revive Spine and Sport with his wife to bridge the gap between patient and provider — creating a space where people receive the kind of care they truly deserve.

After completing his first MDT course, Dr. Noble knew he had found something different. Each training renewed his passion for becoming the best possible physical therapist for his patients. Seeing both the good and the ugly sides of the spine care industry, he recognized MDT as a way to create meaningful change in a system that often fails those in pain.

Health and fitness have always been a part of his life, and in 2021, he and his wife launched Revive Spine and Sport in New Braunfels, TX, with a clear mission: to deliver expert, one-on-one spine care that empowers patients to take control of their recovery. Spencer’s philosophy is simple — patients have the right to question their healthcare, challenge the status quo, and demand better.

Outside of the clinic, Spencer enjoys spending time with his family — his wife and high school sweetheart, their 7-year-old daughter, and their 5-month-old son. If you’ve visited Revive, you’ve probably seen his daughter running the show as the “real” office manager.

Taylor Kurtz

Director, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Taylor Kurtz is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist with a deep-rooted passion for delivering high-quality care. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Texas State University, he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from South College in Knoxville, TN, also Magna Cum Laude. He then completed his orthopedic residency in affiliation with Texas State University, further refining his clinical expertise.  He is further pursuing postdoctoral training with the Mckenzie Institute focused towards advanced, spine-focused coursework.

At Revive Spine and Sport, Dr. Kurtz blends advanced training in manual therapy, dry needling, and spinal manipulation with a personalized, one-on-one treatment model. His mission is simple: disrupt the status quo of rushed, overcrowded care by prioritizing meaningful relationships, thorough evaluations, and results-driven plans.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Kurtz enjoys life with his wife and two children—hanging out in Gruene, swimming in the river, and hunting down the best tacos. He’s also an avid guitarist, camper, paintball enthusiast, and live music fan.

Amanda Kurtz

Pelvic Floor, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Amanda Kurtz specializes in pelvic floor health at Revive Spine and Sport. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Saint Augustine in 2021 and has a strong background in manual therapy and orthopedics. Before becoming a doctor, Amanda worked as a physical therapist assistant, enriching her treatment approach with diverse clinical skills. She completed her pelvic floor residency through Evidence in Motion.

Amanda discovered her passion for pelvic floor therapy early in her career, recognizing that many individuals mistakenly accept pelvic floor issues—whether related to pregnancy or not—as a normal part of life. She is dedicated to educating her patients and advocating for greater awareness and understanding of these conditions. Her goal is to improve patients’ quality of life through personalized treatment and education.

In addition to treating urinary dysfunctions (such as stress and urge incontinence), dyspareunia, and bowel dysfunction, Amanda is committed to helping individuals regain functionality after general injuries. She emphasizes one-on-one treatment and a comprehensive evaluation of each patient to identify the root causes of their symptoms.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, who is also a physical therapist at Revive, and their two children. They cherish sunny days by the river, along with Amanda’s passions for running, reading, and indulging in cookies.
